Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Go Hero collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. “Go Hero”, “GoHero”, “we” and “us” mean Go Hero, a sole proprietorship (d/b/a) of Andreas Magers, 30 The Strand, Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152, USA. It covers our website at gohero.cc, our online sign-up and onboarding, and the marketing services we provide to our clients (Google Ads, Google Business Profile, Meta and TikTok ads, and local SEO).
Questions or requests: [email protected] or (443) 210-0845.
1. Information we collect
When you visit the website
Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver and protect the site.
When you sign up
- Agreement details: business name and address, phone, contact name and title, email, website (optional), the plan you pick, and your typed signature.
- Signature evidence: the time of signing, your IP address and browser user agent, stored with a fingerprint (hash) of the agreement text so the signed agreement can be verified later. Your IP address is also used to limit repeated sign-ups (abuse prevention).
- Referral code: if you arrive from a link with a referral code (
?ref=), we record it with your agreement. - Payment: payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout page. We never see or store your full card number; we receive the payment status, amount and a customer reference from Stripe.
- Bank payments: if you pay by bank account (ACH), your bank details are collected and handled by Stripe. Go Hero never sees your full bank account number.
During onboarding
- Your answers: information about your business, services, service area, hours, budget, offers, target customers, brand and the accounts you use, so we can set up and run your marketing.
- Website lookup: to save you typing, our server reads the public pages of the website you give us (for example its business details, contact links, social links, logo, colors and which tracking tags are installed) and pre-fills your answers. You can change anything it fills in.
- No passwords: we ask you to add Go Hero as a user on your accounts instead of sharing passwords.
- Google account connection (optional): see section 4.
When you apply to work with us
If you apply at gohero.cc/apply, we collect your name, email, phone, the role, your availability and best sales result, the voice recording you make or upload (and any role-play recording), the link you came from, and your IP address and browser (to limit spam). Recordings are transcribed automatically on our hosting provider’s servers so we can review them, and are used for hiring only. If you aren’t hired, we delete your recordings within 60 days. Email [email protected] to have your application deleted sooner.
When you contact us
If you email, call or book a call with us, we keep the information you share. Bookings are handled by Cal.com under its own privacy policy.
2. Cookies and browser storage
We use only what the site needs to work:
- Browser storage (not sent to us automatically): your plan selection while you check out, your signed-agreement status in the current tab, a referral code for up to 30 days, and a link that lets you resume onboarding.
- Short-lived security cookies during the optional Google connection: a random value that protects the sign-in against forgery, and, only if you need to choose between several Google Ads accounts, an encrypted cookie that expires within 20 minutes. Both are limited to the connection pages and are cleared when the step finishes.
- Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page to process payments and prevent fraud.
3. How we use information
- To create and keep a record of your agreement, take payment and manage your account.
- To set up, run, report on and improve the marketing services you bought.
- To communicate with you about your service.
- To protect our site and clients, prevent abuse and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for advertising to you on other websites.
4. Google user data (Go Hero Connect)
During onboarding you can choose Connect with Google to give Go Hero access to your Google Ads account and Google Business Profile in one step, instead of doing it by hand. This is optional; the manual steps are always available.
What we access
With your consent on Google’s sign-in screen, we request only the permissions your plan needs:
- Your Google account email (OpenID / email), to show which account was connected.
- Google Ads (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords): we read the list of Google Ads accounts you can access and their basic details (account ID, name, currency, time zone, whether it is a manager account), and, for the account you choose, we link it to Go Hero’s Google Ads manager account by accepting the manager link invitation on your behalf. - Google Business Profile (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage): we read your Business Profile accounts and locations (name and address) and add Go Hero ([email protected]) as a Manager of the location you are onboarding.
How we use it
We use this data only to connect your accounts to Go Hero so we can manage them as part of the services you signed up for. We do not use it for anything else. After the link is made, Go Hero works in your account through its own Google Ads manager account and Business Profile manager access, which you can remove at any time in Google Ads (Admin → Access and security → Managers) or in your Business Profile (Settings → People and access).
What we store
Google issues us a short-lived access token for this one session only; we do not request offline access, so we never receive a refresh token. Tokens are used during the connection and are not stored after linking (if you need to pick between several accounts, the token is kept encrypted in your browser cookie for at most 20 minutes, never in our database). We keep only: the Google account email you connected with, the permissions granted, the Google Ads customer ID and account name, the link ID and status, the Business Profile location name and the status of each step (including error messages if something failed).
Sharing
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties, except to vetted fulfillment partners working under confidentiality who help deliver your services, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. No humans read your Google data except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with law, or for internal operations where the data has been aggregated and anonymized. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Go Hero’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access
You can revoke Go Hero’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and remove Go Hero’s manager access as described above. To delete the connection details we keep, email [email protected].
5. Who we share information with
- Service providers: Cloudflare (website hosting, database and security) and Stripe (payments).
- Fulfillment partners: vetted fulfillment partners under confidentiality who help us deliver your campaigns and content, receiving only what they need to do that work.
- Advertising platforms you use: to run your campaigns we work inside your own Google, Meta, TikTok and other accounts, under those platforms’ terms.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.
6. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to client records is limited to Go Hero staff who need it, behind authentication. Onboarding data that is sensitive is encrypted in our database, and Google connection data is protected as described in section 4. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you as required by law.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your agreement, signature evidence and billing records for as long as you are a client and afterwards as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes (generally up to seven years). Onboarding answers and Google connection details are kept while you are a client and for up to 12 months after our service ends (in case you come back), then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time. Unfinished sign-ups may be deleted at any time. Job applicants’ recordings are deleted within 60 days unless the applicant is hired.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop using it, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some records (such as a signed agreement or invoices) where the law requires it, and we will tell you if so. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor them.
9. Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify active clients by email before they take effect.
